Biography
How it Begins
“I always love going to the same barbershop since I was 4. My dad brought me there every two weeks and I fell in love with the vibe and the smell of it.
In 1999, i started learning haircut technique in a hair school but what i want is to be a classic gentlemen's barber. Barbershop was kinda lost back at that time so I waited and I waited...
2013 was the birth of the first Hair House by Adam Chan. In the middle of Lan Kwai Fong on the 18th floor of a commercial building. After cutting for 12 years, I wanted to be isolated but still serving my regular clients.
In 2014, I decided to make a change that would change the course of my future forever. I only focused on the classic gentleman’s cut and shave. Thanks to all the blogs and magazines that wrote about Hair House barbershop by Adam Chan, I was able to setup the Hong Kong barbershop that I always dreamed of since I was 4.
In 2015, I started teaching some of my clients everything about barber. My shop was like taking off because I wasn’t fighting alone anymore. Kelvin Yu and Benny Kwok joined. Then Zhong Li, Fung Chu and Pong Tam. I really got lucky having them to strengthen the Lan Kwai Fong shop, not only that; we became a family. More of my clients wanted to become my apprentices, and I decided to open my second shop at Sau Wa Fong. As I trained my new apprentices, our family kept growing. Ray Ng, Keith Lai, Anam Wan, Leslie Leung, Stanley Tsui, Brandon Lai and Nelson Wong. It became a big brotherhood.”
In 2022, our beloved LKF branch moved to 4/F, 16 Wyndham street, Central.
The 3th Hong Kong branch started running in October 2023, which is exactly 10th year since the first Hair House by Adam Chan. Located at 1/F, 60 Wellington street, Central.
